(25 November 1881-26 June 1969). Née Itogawa. Wife of the founder of aikido. Married Morihei UESHIBA in TANABE c. 1903. Lifelong companion of her husband, she bore him a total of four children: a daughter, Matsuko (b. 1910), presently residing in Aichi Prefecture, two sons, Takemori (b. 1917) and Kuniharu (b. 1920), both of whom died in infancy, and Kisshomaru (b. 1921), present Aikido DOSHU.
