David William Lynch

(b.1939). 6th dan Yoshinkan Aikido, 3rd dan Aikikai, 3rd dan Tendokan, 2nd dan Shinshin Toitsu aikido (ranks authenticated). Aikido instructor and tourism consultant. Began training at Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo under Gozo SHIODA as an UCHIDESHI in 1962. Spent a total of 18 years in Japan. Built geodesic dome dojo in rural Whitianga on The Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand. Lynch adopts an eclectic approach to aikido instruction and maintains no exclusive affiliations with Japanese or other aikido organizations.
