Ace Damon Atkinson

(b. 1937). 4th dan, American International Ki Development and Philosophical Society [rank authenticated]. Advocate for people with handicaps. Began training in Okinawa in 1960. Attended classes led by Morihei UESHIBA at AIKIKAI HOMBU DOJO from 1966-1969. Awarded 1st dan by Hajime IWATA in Nagoya, Japan (1967); 2nd dan by Koichi TOHEI 1974; and 3rd and 4th dan by Roy SUENAKA. Professional of the Year – State of California in Development Disabilities Services (1986). Aikido instructor at University of California at Riverside since 1973.
