Anthony Sereda

(b. 17 July 1935). 6th dan Tomiki Aikido, 1987-JAA [rank authenticated]; 2nd dan Yoshinkan Aikido, 1966 [rank authenticated]. Employed by U. S. Marshal’s Service. Began practice of jujutsu c. 1958 and aikido shortly thereafter. Certified as an instructor of TOMIKI AIKIDO by Kenji TOMIKI. Established the Tomiki Aikido Blackbelt Federation (Midwest Yudanshakai) in 1978. Presently teaches aikido and self-defense to law enforcement officers. U. S.   • I met Sensei Sereda in 1975 when the aikido club I trained at visited Chicago to train at his club. He had some excellent instructors. Sensei Sereda was trying to unify Tomiki Aikido clubs in the Midwest. I will always remember him as a powerful aikidoka who was also kind and patient.
