(b. 1950). 7th dan Aikikai. B. in Hachiojima, Tokyo. Began aikido training under Mitsugi Saotome while a student in the aikido club of Kokugakuin Univesity. Entered Saotome’s Reimeijuku dojo in 1970. Relocated to Sarasota, Florida, USA in 1976 and taught in Florida from 1978-79. Moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1980 and established the Boulder Aikikai. Travels extensively around the USA and abroad conducting seminars. Also operates Bujin Design, a martial arts supply company.
