Josh Gold(b. 1947). American Buddhist scholar and long-time resident of Japan. Author of numerous books on Buddhism and Japanese culture including The Way of Harmony dealing with the aikido of Rinjiro SHIRATA, 9th dan of Yamagata Prefecture, and the first biography of Morihei UESHIBA in English entitled Abundant Peace: The Biography of Morihei Ueshiba (see bibl. ).
