Seiji Tanaka 田中清二

(b. 22 April 1939). 6th dan Tomiki Aikido, 1989-JAA [rank authenticated]. Owner of an insurance company. Graduated from Waseda University, 1962. Started aikido in 1958 as a member of the WASEDA UNIVERSITY AIKIDO CLUB during its first year as an official University club, under Kenji TOMIKI and later Hideo OHBA. First captain of the Waseda Club, and first college student to be awarded 4th dan on graduation. After five years in Hawaii where he sometimes assisted Yoshinkan instructor Yukio Noguchi, he moved to Denver and began to teach at the Denver School of Judo and Aikido in 1969.
