Tenjin Shin’yo Ryu Jujutsu 天神真楊流柔術

Traditional Japanese jujutsu school which is one of the major sources of judo techniques. Morihei UESHIBA studied this art for a period of a few months in Tokyo c. 1900 under Tokusaburo TOZAWA. It probably had little effect on the technical development of aikido.

  • After having studied Traditional Aikido for 15 years, and now studying Tenjin Shinyo Ryu Ju Jutsu, i do not believe the statement

“It probably had little effect on the technical development of aikido.” In fact, why see some of the demos on youtube.
